I have a review out today of Michael Lee’s Revolutionary Saint: The Theological Legacy of Oscar Romero. In short, I think it’s an excellent book. In particular, the three central chapters are insightful examinations of conversion, discipleship, and martyrdom in the life and theology of Romero. I read most of the book while walking the Camino de Santiago this summer, and it shaped a lot of my prayer and reflection on that trip. The book would be good not only for researchers and teachers but for parish reading groups as well.
